After thousands of rumors about a film about the almost cheesy comic book character Aquaman , the production of an animated film about him was finally confirmed. A post-credit scene in the film Justice League: War hinted at the appearance of the aquatic hero in the new animated universe being created on home video.
In the description of the scene on the Newsarama website, with spoilers, Orm Marius, the Master of the Oceans, appears carrying the body of the king of Atlantis and swearing revenge against the surface beings.
Plans for an Aquaman film explain his absence in Justice League: War. Shazam (formerly Captain Marvel) replaces the character in the story, which brings more dynamics to the action.
Warner Bros. Animation will also release two more animated features from DC Comics: Son of Batman and Assault on Arkham.
