After thousands of rumors about a movie about the almost cheesy comic book character Aquaman , the production of an animated film has finally been confirmed. A post-credits scene in the movie Justice League: War hinted at the aquatic hero's appearance in the new animated universe being created for home video.
According to the Newsarama website's description of the scene, which contains spoilers, Orm Marius, the Ocean Master, is shown carrying the body of the King of Atlantis and vowing revenge against the surface dwellers.
Plans for an Aquaman movie explain his absence in Justice League: War. Shazam (formerly Captain Marvel) replaces the character in the story, which brought more dynamism to the action.
Warner Bros. Animation will release two more animated DC Comics features: Son of Batman and Assault on Arkham.
