Araburu Kisetsu to get live-action adaptation

Kodansha 's Bessatsu Shonen Magazine announced Thursday that Mari Okada and Nao Emoto 's Araburu Kisetsu no Otome-domo yo (O Maidens in Your Savage Season) will be getting a live-action series.

The manga will also have two parallel chapters that will be released in the August and September issues of Bessatsu Shonen.

Synopsis

The girls in a high school literature club play a game to get to know each other, answering the question, "What do you want to do before you die?" One of the girls says, "Sex." Little do they know, but the whirlwind unleashed by that word will lead each of these girls, with different backgrounds and personalities, on their own awkward, funny, painful, and exciting paths toward adulthood.

Okada and Emoto launched the manga in Bessatsu Shonen in December 2016, and it ended in September 2019. Kodansha published the eighth volume in October with an extra epilogue chapter.

Furthermore, the manga inspired a 12-episode anime adaptation by Lay-duce and licensed by Sentai Filmworks , which premiered in September 2019. Most notably, Araburu Kisetsu was screenwriter Okada's debut manga. Emoto serialized the romance manga Forget Me Not, inspired by Mag Hsu's Taiwanese novel Mazimen, between 2013 and 2016.
