Araburu Kisetsu will get a live-action adaptation

The August issue of Kodansha 's Bessatsu Shonen announced on Thursday that the Araburu Kisetsu no Otome-domo yo (O Maidens in Your Savage Season) by Mari Okada and Nao Emoto will get a live-action series.

The manga will also have two parallel chapters that will be released in the August and September edition of Bessatsu Shonen.

Synopsis

The girls in a high school literature club play a game to get to know each other, answering the question: “What do you want to do before you die?” One of the girls says, “Sex.” Little do they know, but the whirlwind unleashed by that word will take each of these girls, with different backgrounds and personalities, on their own awkward, funny, painful and exciting paths towards adulthood.

Okada and Emoto launched the manga in Bessatsu Shonen in December 2016, and it ended in September 2019. Kodansha published the eighth volume in October with an extra epilogue chapter.

Furthermore, the manga inspired an anime adaptation by studio Lay-duce and licensed by Sentai Filmworks with 12 episodes that premiered in September 2019. Above all, Araburu Kisetsu was the debut manga by screenwriter Okada. Emoto serialized the romance manga Forget Me Not, inspired by the Taiwanese novel Mazimen by Mag Hsu, between 2013 and 2016.
