The relationship between sisters Jinx and Vi (voiced by Ella Purnell and Hailee Steinfeld, respectively) was the centerpiece of Arcane . Although tired of fighting, Jinx rejects Vi's offer to help her in the Piltover war and destroys the last vestiges of her former life. About to take her own life, Ekko appears to save her and encourages her to "build something new."
When war breaks out in Piltover, Jinx fights alongside Vi against Warwick , who once harbored the mind of Vander, the sisters' father. During the final battle, Jinx sacrifices herself by throwing herself and Warwick into an unstable portal, detonating a grenade to kill them both.
Did Jinx really die?
Although the season finale suggests Jinx's death, clues point to the contrary. One clue is the presence of air vents in the Hexgates, suggesting a possible escape route. Furthermore, the final scene shows a lone aircraft flying over the ocean.
