The Aria franchise film finally received new information, including voice actors, title and release date, which was set for spring 2021 .
All of this information was revealed through a promotional video posted on the series' official website
The film will be called “ Aria the Twilight ” and will celebrate the anime ’s 15th anniversary .
Synopsis
Fifteen-year-old Akari Mizunashi left everything behind to travel to the brilliant, water-covered planet Aqua, formerly known as Mars. In the 24th century, humans have found a way to colonize the previously uninhabitable planet. More than anything, Akari wants to be an "undine"—a female gondolier who navigates the canals of Aquan's Neo-Venezia. The city itself is a faithful replication of Manhome's Venice. To ensure that residents and tourists alike can fully enjoy Neo-Venezia's many wonders, companies have formed to offer guided gondola tours, one of which is called Aria Company. As she begins her training with the prestigious Aria Company, will she be prepared to face the challenges that await her on the path to achieving her dream?
Team
Ryou Hirohashi and Ai Kayano reprise their roles as Alice Carroll and Anya Dostoyevskaya, respectively. As previously announced, Rina Satou will play the character Athena Glor, replacing the late Tomoko Kawakami from previous anime adaptations of Kozue Amano .
Junichi Sato , who directed all previous Aria anime, returns as chief director and scriptwriter, while Takahiro Natori , episode and storyboard director for the previous Aria anime, is the new staff director at studio JC Staff . Yoko Ito (Amanchu!, Skate-Leading Stars) is the character designer and chief animation director. Choro Club and Takeshi Senoo return from the previous Aria anime for sound design.
