The online stores Amazon and Animate in Japan have put on sale a limited edition of the fifth volume of Arslan Senki , a work by Yoshiki Tanaka and Hiromu Arakawa , which consists of a DVD. Amazon has also set the release date for this volume as May 9, 2016.
The store “Honya Club” claims that Arakawa is personally overseeing this “Original DVD” which will tell “another comedy story” that takes place in the midst of the war. In the story, Gieve gives Arslan lessons on love and romance from Daryun, Narsus, and “the hero” is also revealed.
None of the stores confirm that this DVD contains animated scenes , so we'll have to wait for confirmation.

A fantastic series of novels written by Yoshiki Tanaka and illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano . It has two manga adaptations, one completed in 1996 and another currently being published, with art by Hiromu Arakawa (known for Fullmetal Alchemist and Silver Spoon). In addition, there are two films, four OVAs, and an anime series that premiered in 2015.
The story follows the adventures of Arslan, the crown prince of the fictional kingdom of Pars, who takes over the neighboring nation of Lusitania after his father, King Andragoras III, falls victim to a treacherous plot led by some of his most trusted followers.
