The wait is over! The second season of Arslan Senki: Fūjin Ranbu (The Heroic Legend of Arslan: Dust Storm Dance) has just received a brand new commercial. The premiere is scheduled for July 3rd on CBS and TBS, promising to thrill fans with more epic battles and plot twists in the kingdom of Pars.
Despite the new developments, the main cast and most of the crew are back, maintaining the essence of the original series. However, some significant changes deserve highlighting.
New developments in production and in the team
Firstly, the director's chair passed from Daisuke Suzuki to Kyō Yamashita , while Tatsuya Shimano replaced Hiroshi Adachi as director of modeling. Furthermore, the studio responsible for the CGI also changed: Felix Film took over from SANZIGEN, which could bring a new visual style to the 3D scenes.
Another new addition is the band Kalafina — famous for their music in Puella Magi Madoka Magica — who will perform the season's ending theme. This musical choice certainly reinforces the epic and emotional tone of the story.
The season will be shorter, but intense
Unlike the previous season, this new phase will consist of only eight episodes . However, this indicates a more direct and fast-paced narrative, which may surprise both veterans and new viewers.
