Ash's victory took place in Alola in the current chapter of the anime
The Pokémon anime same : protagonist Ash Ketchum has never won a Pokémon League – until now. In the chapter shown on September 15th , the character won in Alola and finally became a champion.
During Sunday (15), fans took the opportunity to remember the character's journey, with many pointing out that the decision to make Ash suffer so much is to demonstrate to children that it is common to fail and learn from your defeats, in order to grow.
Ash's victory also raises some suspicions regarding the anime's continuity. As a next generation of Pokémon approaches with the release of Pokémon: Sword & Shield on the Nintendo Switch , rumors have already begun to circulate that the trainer will not be the protagonist of the next animation, which will just be called Pocket Monsters in Japan – so like the classic cartoon from 1997.
Pokémon anime premieres on September 29 in Japan. Whatever the case, now Ash can finally get some rest after completing his biggest goal.
