Robot Atom , a new animated television series by Osamu Tezuka, the Mighty Atom or Astro Boy, will air in Nigeria from March.

The project is a joint international production between Tezuka Productions and the Nigerian television station Chanel TV , the animators are interns who came from Japan to study.

The episodes are 30 minutes long and are aimed at preschool children, and tell the adventures of the robot Astro Boy with his human and robot friends in a city in the future.

Instead of defeating villains as an “ally of justice,” the story will be more about an innocent child who makes mistakes every now and then.

Two episodes will air in March, but eight episodes already have the green light to be shown.

Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa, with 170 million people and oil as its primary industry.
