Just like the manga Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) is heading towards the end, its series anime will follow the same path. At the end of today's episode, a special video was shown where it was announced that the 4th and final anime season of Attack on Titan will be shown in October 2020 December 7th. (Updated).
Hajime Isayama previewed the layout draft for the manga's final panel on the MBS documentary program Jōnetsu Tairiku in November. The show's official Twitter account had teased before its airing that the manga is entering its final arc.
The first television anime season premiered in April 2013, and the second season premiered in April 2017. The first part of the third season premiered last July, and the second part premiered in Japan on the NHK General channel on April 28. Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Hulu are streaming the series as it airs in Japan.
Crunchyroll describes the latest season:

If they succeed, Eren may finally unlock the secrets of the base—and the world. But danger awaits, as Reiner, Bertholdt, and the Beast Titan have their own plans. Could this be humanity's final battle for survival?
