Attack on Titan volume 11 is the first in the series to rank #1 in manga sales for two consecutive weeks. Additionally, the limited edition of the same volume ranked in the top 10 for two consecutive weeks. The series as a whole has over 20 million copies in print.
Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan ) spinoff manga has just gained a new author. The story will be written by Satoshi Shiki (Kamikaze, Riot) and artist Thores Shibamoto (Trinity Blood). Shiki, who had already announced earlier this month that he wouldn't have a break, will finish his XBlade manga and begin a new series soon. Shingeki no Kyojin: Before the Fall will be released in the October issue of Monthly Shonen Sirius , which hits newsstands on October 26th. The parallel plot will take place within the world of Shigeki no Kyojin.
The plot suggests a new manga where we'll learn about humanity's history before its near-total decline. We'll see the beginning of the Titans' arrival, the creation of the weapons they (humans) use today, and the formation of the Walls. We might even learn about Eren Jeager's father's "secret."
