The live-action Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) topped the box office in its home country, taking first place on its opening weekend. The film grossed approximately 600 million yen (local currency) with a total of 467,000 viewers.
The second film in the series, titled " Shingeki no Kyojin: Jiyuu no Tsubasa ," is scheduled for release in Japan on September 18th.
