“The Avatar journey continues. Avatar: The Last Airbender is RENEWED for seasons 2 and 3.”

So the series completely dominated the top of the Netflix charts upon its debut, so it was no surprise that fans were immediately clamoring for a second season.

Although the series had three initial seasons (totaling 61 episodes), Avatar: The Last Airbender has earned a place among the most popular animated series of all time. The series spawned a sequel, The Legend of Korra, which followed the Avatar who succeeded Aang. In addition to their success on screen, these titles spawned a franchise that has expanded into books and comics.

Avatar: The Last Airbender has Albert Kim as showrunner, executive producer, and screenwriter. Netflix's animated version follows the journey of young Aang, a young Avatar who must learn to master the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire, and Air) to restore balance to a world threatened by the terrifying Fire Nation.

Finally, the series Avatar: The Last Airbender is available in full on Netflix .
