Ayakashi Triangle

The official website for the Ayakashi Triangle announced Tuesday that the series will restart its originally scheduled 12-episode in July.

Ayakashi Triangle – Anime will return in July after postponement

Therefore, the animation will air again from episode 1. Broadcast dates and times will be announced in the future.

The staff delayed the fifth and subsequent episodes in January due to the impact of COVID-19 on the production schedule. The fourth episode aired on schedule on January 30, but the anime began reruns on February 6, the original scheduled air date for the fifth episode. The fifth episode later aired on March 6 after a delay, and the sixth episode aired on March 13. However, instead of the seventh episode on March 20, a special recap of the first six episodes aired that day. A special program aired the following week.

Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman) is directing the anime at CONNECT , with Kei Umabiki as assistant director. Shogo Yasukawa (Shokugeki no Soma) is designing the characters. Jin Aketagawa is the sound director, and Rei Ishizuka (A Couple of Cuckoos) is composing the soundtrack.

Yabuki launched the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in June 2010, but moved to the Shonen Jump+ digital service in April 2022. The manga currently has 10 volumes and is available to read on the Shonen Jump+ website and app in English. The author is also known for the mangas To Love-Ru, Black Cat, Mayoi Neko Overrun!, and the manga adaptation of the anime Darling in the FRANXX on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ website and app.

Finally, Yabuki is notorious for his controversial manga, such as To Love-Ru, and because of the inclusion of ecchi scenes in many of his works, he ended up moving Ayakashi Triangle from Weekly Shonen Jump to Shonen Jump+, which allows for slightly more mature content. After this controversy, the author commented, "I'm finally going to write stories that were difficult to tell in the past due to circumstances."

Synopsis

Young Kazamaki Matsuri is part of an elite force of ninja exorcists, tasked with combating malicious ayakashi spirits that threaten Japan—especially those that stalk his childhood friend, the medium Kanade Suzu. As he fiercely protects her, his relationship with her blossoms from friendship to something more. However, a powerful ayakashi cat named Shirogane comes between the lovebirds: casting a forbidden spell that transforms Matsuri into a woman! With no apparent way to undo the spell, Matsuri must continue fighting ayakashi—and return to school—in this new female body until she finds a way back.
