Azur Lane is a Chinese game that many consider to be quite similar to Kantai Collection, and maybe that's the reason behind their success. The game involves collecting and establishing affective relationships with human representations of famous ships. However, Azur Lane presents a different narrative and adopts a distinct style of combat.

The first season of Azur Lane Bisoku Zenshin! premiered in January 2021. Hori launched the manga in April 2018, and it is being serialized on the franchise's official Twitter account and publisher Ichijinsha's Azur Lane website.
