Issue 42 of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed that Takeshi Obata and Tsugumi Ohba will publish two new Bakuman manga. Both chapters will be in celebration of the live-action film that arrives in Japan on October 3rd.
The first manga will be published on September 21st, which will consist of 23 pages, one of them in color.
Bakuman。is a manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The first chapter was released in Japan on August 11, 2008. Bakuman is the story of two 9th grade boys who want to become manga artists. The main characters include Moritaka Mashiro (真城最高, Mashiro Moritaka?), who is a draftsman, and Akito Takagi (高木秋人, Takagi Akito?), who is a screenwriter. The first chapters alternate teenage drama situations with information about the history of the manga and the technical aspects of their creation.
