Weekly Shonen Jump magazine's 42nd issue revealed that Takeshi Obata and Tsugumi Ohba will publish two new Bakuman manga . Both chapters will commemorate the live-action film, which premieres in Japan on October 3rd.
The first manga will be published on September 21st, and will consist of 23 pages, one of which will be colored.
Bakuman is a manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The first chapter was released in Japan on August 11, 2008. Bakuman is the story of two ninth-grade boys who aspire to become manga artists. The main characters are Moritaka Mashiro (真城最高, Mashiro Moritaka?), an artist, and Akito Takagi (高木秋人, Takagi Akito?), a scriptwriter. The first chapters alternate between teenage drama and information about the manga's story and the technical aspects of its creation.
