Warner Bros. Japan announced that the anime “ BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy- ” will have a second season that will premiere on Netflix worldwide in 2023. According to information, the new season is titled “ Bastard!! Ankoku no Hakaishin: Jigoku no Chinkonka-hen .”

The new season will feature a returning team. Warner Bros. Japan also revealed four new cast members.

Synopsis:
A grand, unique story, a compelling fantasy world, intense battles full of sword and sorcery, and cute heroines who were probably a little too edgy for a boys' comic at the time. All of this, however, combined with the elaborate art of the manga makes Bastard!! the pioneer and pinnacle of dark fantasy manga, influencing countless works that followed.
The first part of the anime, consisting of the first 13 episodes, premiered on Netflix on June 30th worldwide. The second part with episodes 14-24 premiered on Netflix on September 15th.
Finally the Bastard manga It received several adaptations in OVA format in the early 90s.
