Man of Steel movie was postponed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Batman vs. Superman , which was supposed to premiere on July 17, 2015, will now be released on May 6, 2016, 10 months later.

Marvel had planned to release one of its films, as yet unspecified, on that date. Instead, on July 17th, WB released the film Pan , about the origin of Peter Pan , with Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard .

The strategy gives strength to rumors that the studio would be willing to shoot the Justice League at the same time as producing the sequel to Man of Steel , which will star Batman and Superman
