Battlefield 4 runs on the new Frostbite 3 at 60 frames per second on next-generation consoles. Set in 2020, players control Recker, a member of the Tombstone team, a mercenary group with vital military intelligence. Recker and his companions Dunn, Irish, and Pac are fleeing Russians in Azerbaijan when their helicopter crashes. Their pursuers are under the orders of Admiral Cheng, the plot's antagonist.
The game will feature three nations: the United States, Russia, and China. The developer promises more realistic graphics, detailed features, and more believable fog, smoke, and fire effects. The title will feature new game modes, focusing on naval battles and Commander Mode, which displays a map from above. Players can manage supplies and check airstrikes and equipment, much like a strategy game, but in the form of a minigame or infographic.
Battlefield 4, which will have a Brazilian version dubbed into Portuguese by Dan Stulbach and André Ramiro, arrives on October 29th for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. A release date for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has not yet been confirmed.
