Because I, the True Saint to Premiere in 2027

The anime Because I, the True Saint, was Banished, that Country is Done For! (Shin no Seijo de Aru Watashi wa Tsuihō Saremashita) has been confirmed to premiere in January 2027. The production also revealed new details. The announcement was accompanied by a promotional teaser released by Bandai Namco Filmworks.
The video also confirms that Kanako Hara will compose the music for the series. Masumi Tazawa will voice Elian, while Taku Yashiro will play Nigel.
Anime production
Tsukasa Sakurai is directing the anime adaptation of Because I the True Saint at Tsumugi Akita Anime Lab. Naoki Tozuka is handling the series scripts, while Naru Nishikōri is responsible for character designs.
The story of Because I, the True Saint
The story follows Eliane, who has been regarded since childhood as the saint responsible for protecting the Kingdom of Belkheim. Her powers help ward off monsters and ensure good harvests, but her life changes when a false saint convinces the prince, her fiancé, that she is an impostor. Banished from the kingdom and penniless, Eliane decides to head to a neighboring country and try to live as an ordinary person. However, an encounter during her journey completely changes her plans.
Finally, the work began as a light novel published by Shikiso Utsuzawa in 2020. The manga adaptation debuted in 2021 through Kodansha.
