It's official! Ben Affleck becomes the new Batman in the movies!
Warner Bros. has announced that Ben Affleck has been chosen to play the new Batman in the movies alongside Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) in the first production to bring together the two DC Comics . He will play Bruce Wayne in the sequel to Man of Steel, a film that will pit Batman against Superman!
Still without a defined title, the new production will be a sequel to Man of Steel and will bring Batman and Superman together on the big screen for the first time, continuing the director's vision of his DC universe, established in "Man of Steel".
The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, president of Creative Development and Production, and Sue Kroll, president of Marketing and Distribution, at Warner Bros.
The film is scheduled for release on July 17, 2015.
