Birdie Wing: Golf Girls' Story – 2nd Season of the anime suffers from postponement

The official website for Birdie Wing -Golf Girls' Story -, the original golf anime from Bandai Namco Pictures, announced this Wednesday that its second season will therefore change its premiere date from January to April 2023 due to “various circumstances ”.

Twitter account will announce more details about the season's new release schedule as soon as they are decided.

An advance screening of the season's first episode (with an accompanying talk show event) will still take place on December 25th as planned.

The anime has been confirmed for a second season, and Crunchyroll has announced that it will stream the anime as it airs in Japan.

The first season of Birdie Wing therefore premiered on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido and TVQ Broadcasting Kyushu on April 5.

Synopsis

A young adult story centered on two young golfers named Eve and Aoi Amawashi. Therefore, the two come from completely different backgrounds, and have completely opposite playing styles, and together they will shake up the world of golf.

Takayuki Inagaki (Desert Punk, Rosario + Vampire, Chio's School Road, Ninja Box) directed the anime at Bandai Namco Pictures , while Yousuke Kuroda (Mobile Suit Gundam 00, My Hero Academia) was responsible for the series' scripts. Kotaro Nakagawa (Code Geass) and Hironori Anazawa (Scarlet Nexus) composed the music. Professional golf coach and “Junior World Golf Championship Japan” team coach Touru Inoue supervised the anime. Finally, Bandai Namco Pictures produced the anime in association with Global Golf Media Group.
