The official website for the Black Bullet anime adaptation of author Shiden Kanzaki has released the second promotional video. The video features the opening theme song "Black Bullet" sung by fripside. The anime will premiere on April 9th.
The story of Black Bullet revolves around high school student Rentaro, a young man with a mysterious, superior ability in an era where humans are battling Gastrea, a race of viral parasites. The story depicts Rentaro's actions in the not-too-distant future.
The animation studio is Kinema Citrus, the director is Masayuki Kojima (Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, The Piano Forest), and the character design is by Chiho Umishima.
Kanzaki began publishing the story in 2011 with illustrations by Saki Ukai, and the sixth volume of the novel was released in October.
