As expected, given that several anime are having their broadcasts interrupted, Black Clover unfortunately joins the list of anime on hiatus due to the pandemic. The news came via the official Weekly Shonen Jump Twitter account , with the following scan taken from a page of the official magazine :

The announcement confirms that the anime will go on an indefinite hiatus after the airing of episode 132 on April 28, 2020. However, it also confirms that the anime will be re-aired in Japan starting from episode 1, beginning the following week (May 5, 2020).

Black Clover tells the story of Asta , a poor boy without magic who dreams of becoming the Wizard King . Besides his arduous training to compensate for his lack of magical power, he relies on the help of his companions to face various problems that cross his path throughout the narrative. On the other hand, his childhood friend and fellow orphanage student, Yuno , possesses impressive magical power and also aims to become the Wizard King. The two young orphans confront the forces that threaten the Clover Kingdom and compete with each other to see who will achieve this great feat first.
