The Black Clover manga is nearing its end, but Yuki Tabata still reserves space for characters that marked the trajectory of Asta and all his friends.
With nearly 400 chapters, the series is one of the longest in Shonen Jump in decades, featuring dozens of characters. Many began as enemies and became allies, promising to return—and that's exactly what's happening now.
In chapter 380, Asta was seriously injured, prompting Yuno to take over the fight in the following chapter, titled The Sorcerer Supreme . This time, Yuno also wields Asta's anti-magic, becoming the most powerful human mage ever seen. Meanwhile, Mimosa attempts to heal Asta, but is stopped by Morris , one of the central villains of the final arc. It is at this moment that the Diamond Kingdom resurfaces, after seven years away from the plot, to confront him.
The return of the Diamond Kingdom in Black Clover
The Diamond Kingdom's last appearance was in Chapter 229, released in November 2019, when the Pica Kingdom invaded and took over much of its territory. At the time, the fate of important figures, such as Mars , was uncertain. Now, Mars returns, leading familiar names such as Lotus , Ladros , Fana , Mareilla , and Fanzell Kruger —one of Asta's first masters.
However, this reunion reinforces the lasting impact of Asta's journey. Beyond the Diamond Kingdom, former antagonists like the Elven Tribe also join the battle.
Finally, in the final chapters, Tabata revisits bonds built throughout the series, showing allies from different eras helping Asta rise again to face an overwhelming enemy.
