This year's fifth issue of Akita Shoten 's Young Champion Retsu revealed that the Black Joke manga by Rintaro Koike and Masayuki Taguchi is reaching its climax in the magazine's next issue, which will launch on May 17.
The manga is set on the fictional Neon Island in Tokyo Bay, a place where gambling and prostitution have been legalized. There, gangs vie for control of the underground economy.
Koike and Taguchi launched the Black Joke manga in Young Champion Young Champion Retsu magazine in 2011, and publisher Akita Shoten published the 10th volume of the manga in July 2020.
