Synopsis:

Despite his tough appearance, Jiro Azuma reveals a kind side when it comes to the animals with whom he can communicate. However, his compassion puts him in trouble when a mysterious street cat fuses him, giving him extraordinary power-but also dragging him into a hidden battle of humanity against the fearsome Japanese spirits, the Mononoke.

Black Torch is a series of Japanese manga written and illustrated by Tsuyoshi Takaki. The work was serialized in Shipeisha's monthly manga magazine Shueisha , from December 2016 to March 2018, and later on the digital platform Shōnen Jump+ , from April to July 2018. Its chapters were compiled in five Tankōbon . In North America, the manga was licensed for publication in English by Viz Media.
