Blade & Bastard gets an anime adaptation

The Japanese light novel Blade & Bastard anime adaptation confirmed this Sunday (20).

Therefore, and by all indications, the anime's premiere should happen sometime in 2025.

Blade & Bastard Synopsis

Deep within a labyrinth where no one has ever set foot, the body of an adventurer who shouldn't have been there was found. Revived but without memory, the man named Iarmas spends his days entering the labyrinth alone to retrieve the bodies of fallen adventurers. Whether the resurrection is successful or the bodies turn to ash, he continues his work in exchange for payment, despised yet respected by the other adventurers. However, his grim routine begins to change after meeting a young swordswoman, the sole survivor of a destroyed group, nicknamed "Trash."

Drecom has published four Blade & Bastard volumes since December 2022 under its DRE Novels imprint. A manga adaptation with art by Makoto Fugetsu has been serialized online through Drecom's DRE Comics website since June 2023.
