anime adaptation of the Mugen no Juunin ( Blade of the Immortal manga received new information, where in addition to the main cast and production being revealed, there was also a new visual poster and trailer for the anime.
Manji is an immortal swordsman cursed with eternal life. He grew tired of living with all the death he created. He has no other skills than killing, and so he devises his plan to regain his mortality: he must kill one hundred evil men for every good one he has killed. The old witch who bestowed immortality upon Manji agrees to his proposal, and Manji sets out to find one thousand evil men. On his journey, he encounters a young woman, Rin, who seeks her own revenge against the members of the swordsman school who murdered her family. Rin and Manji travel together, both seeking peace. Along their path are various and varied enemies. Rin and Manji are almost constantly under attack and must learn to live their lives without being consumed by revenge.
Directed by Hiroshi Hamasaki at Liden Films , the anime premieres this October on Amazon Prime Video. Makoto Fukami is writing the series, Shingo Ogiso is designing the characters, and Eiko Ishibashi is composing the music.
Manji and Rin are voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda and Ayane Sakura , respectively.
