Kodansha 's Afternoon magazine, anime adaptation of the Blade of the Immortal manga Kodansha confirmed that this anime adaptation will cover the entire content of the manga.

Hiroaki Samura 's manga had 30 volumes, all published by Afternoon between 1993 and 2012. The manga is currently published in Brazil by JBC with the title: Blade - The Immortal Blade and is in its 15th volume. Furthermore, in 2008, an anime adaptation by Production IG aired on Japanese TV.
