Aniplex and Viz Media 's official channel released the new opening and ending songs for Bleach. The opening theme, " STARS ," was composed by the Japanese band wod , while the ending theme, " Endroll ," was composed by singer Yoh Kamiyama.
Furthermore, the new opening is notable for presenting a different idea from the previous one. In this music video, instead of fighting in action scenes, the characters appear in modern clothes, engaging in normal world activities. In other words, the idea of this opening is very similar to the anime's first, " Asterisk ," where Ichigo and his friends are introduced in the human world as normal teenagers.
Synopsis:
Shortly after a series of Hollow murders and disappearances in the Rukongai district, Ichigo and his friends discover that the Quincy are indeed alive. To jog their memory, the Quincy are a supernatural order of humans who can manipulate reishi and kill Hollows instead of purifying them like the Soul Society. Everyone believed the Gotei 13 exterminated these enemies 1,000 years ago, but the Quincy remained in hiding, awaiting the return of their king, Yhwach.
