We have a film adaptation of the manga Blue Giant by author Shinichi Ishizuka . According to the official website, the animation will be released in Japanese theaters
Synopsis:
The story follows Miyamoto Dai , a student who loves playing basketball. His life changes the first time he sees a live jazz performance. The incredible music strikes a chord deep within him, and he immediately decides to dedicate himself to the saxophone.
Blue Giant began in May 2013 in Big Comic and ended in August 2016. A new arc called Blue Giant Supreme began publication in September 2016.
Furthermore, the manga was nominated for the 2015 and 2016 editions of the Manga Taisho Awards. In 2017, it won an award at the Japan Media Arts Festival Awards.
Finally, its last chapter arrived in May 2020.
