This partnership between Blue Lock and the Italian club was born at an event in Tokyo, where Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura , the authors of the manga, met Nicolò Barella , the Italian midfielder. Then, between the years 2023/24, new artwork from this partnership made by the manga's authors will be released. Additionally, the club's official store will launch exclusive shirts from this partnership for Inter Milan fans to purchase.
Synopsis:
The story begins with Japan's elimination from the 2018 FIFA World Cup, causing the Japan Football Union to begin a search program for high school players who will begin training for the 2022 World Cup. Isagi Yoichi, a striker, receives an invitation to this program shortly after his team loses the chance to go to nationals. His coach, Ego Jinpachi, who aims to “end Japan’s failed football” with a radical new training regime: isolating 300 young strikers in a prison-like institution called “Blue Lock”. Inside this place, Isagi and the other players compete fiercely for one of them to become “The best striker in the world”.
The first season of the anime was directed by Tetsuaki Watanabe at studio 8 Bits , animation was by Kenji Tanabe and Kento Totani .
The Blue Lock manga debuted in Kodansha 's Weekly Shonen Magazine in August 2018 by authors Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura.
