Blue Lock anime has received a new promotional image featuring the central character Isagi Yoichi . According to the official website, the series will premiere in 2022.

Synopsis:
The story begins with Japan's elimination from the 2018 FIFA World Cup, causing the Japan Football Union to launch a program to search for high school players who will begin training for the 2022 World Cup. Isagi Yoichi , a striker, receives an invitation to this program shortly after his team lost the chance to go to the nationals.
Their coach Ego Jinpachi , who aims to "end Japan's failed football" by introducing a radical new training regime: isolating 300 young strikers in a prison-like institution called "Blue Lock" and putting them through rigorous training with the goal of creating "the best striker in the world."
