Bocchi the Rock! – Franchise gets spin-off manga

Houbunsha's Comic Fuz website has launched a spinoff of the "Bocchi the Rock!" manga, titled "Bocchi the Rock! Gaiden: Hiroi Kikuri no Fukazake Nikki" (Kikuri Hiroi's Heavy Drinking Diary).

Therefore, the website will publish new chapters of the manga every two weeks on Sundays.

Synopsis

The spinoff follows the daily life of Kikuri Hiroi, the 25-year-old bassist for the band SICK HACK. She feels anxious about the future, but overcomes it through alcohol consumption.

Hamaji launched the Bocchi the Rock! manga in Manga Time Kirara Max magazine in December 2017, and the series is still ongoing.

The anime based on the manga premiered in October 2022. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, and it's worth noting that the anime will have a compilation film that will premiere in spring 2024.
