Marking the anniversary of the premiere of the first season of BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, So I'll Max Out My Defense , it was announced this Saturday that the 2nd season of the anime will premiere in 2022.
Synopsis
The novel tells the story of Kaede Honjou, a young woman who starts playing the MMO NewWorld Online at the request of her friend Risa Shiramine. In the game Kaede creates the character Maple, but the character's fear of feeling pain makes her put all her experience points into defense. As a result, she moves slowly, cannot use magic, and even a rabbit can get the best of her. But as it turns out, she acquires a skill known as “Absolute Defense” as a result of putting her points into VIT, as well as a “Counter Skill” that works against special moves. Now, with her ability to nullify all damage, she embarks on adventures.
Staff (1st season)
Shin Oonuma ( WATAMOTE ) and Mirai Minato ( Masamune-kun no Revenge ) directed the first season at the SILVER LINK . Fumihiko Shimo ( Anima Yell! ) was responsible for composing the series. Kazuya Hirata designed the characters and served as chief animation director.
Finally, Yuumikan began serializing BOFURI on the Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2016, and is still releasing chapters of the story on the website. Kadokawa began releasing the story in print form with art by Koin in September 2017. Additionally, Jiro Oimoto launched a manga adaptation in Kadokawa's Comp Ace magazine in May 2018.
