Boku no Hero: Spin-off about illegal heroes gets anime

The popular spin-off of Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia), about illegal heroes, had its anime adaptation confirmed this weekend.

Therefore, Boku Vigilante No Hero Academy (Vigilante: Boku No Hero Illegals Academy) debuts in 2025 with animated Bones Film. The direction is from Kenichi Suzuki and script by Yōsuke Kuroda.

Synopsis:

Koichi Haimawari was unable to become an official hero, so he uses his modest quirk to perform good deeds in his free time. One day, an unexpected encounter with some local thugs leads him to form a team with two other unlikely heroes. Neither of them quite knows what they're doing, but they have the courage – or perhaps just the recklessness – to try. However, they soon discover that fighting evil requires more than just bravery...

Furuhashi and Court launched the manga in Shonen Jump GIGA in August 2016. The manga was later re-released on the Shonen Jump+ in December of the same year.
