It's no wonder... due to the huge success of the end of the Naruto, the latest film featuring his son Boruto was a major phenomenon in Japan. Data shows that the film grossed a total of 2.02 billion yen (approximately US$16.8 million) as of August 25th, selling a total of 1.56 million tickets in the 19 days since its premiere on August 7th.
Compared to the previous film, "The Last: Naruto the Movie," which grossed 2 billion yen (approximately US$16 million), Boruto has become the highest-grossing film in the Naruto franchise.
The new Naruto movie revolves around his son Boruto, who leads the next generation of shinobi, along with Sasuke Uchiha's daughter Sarada, both of whom were introduced in the final chapter of the manga.
