Boruto: Naruto the Movie is a Japanese anime film based on the Naruto manga created by Masashi Kishimoto. It is part of the Naruto New Era Opening Project to commemorate the franchise's 15th anniversary.
The film was first shown in the post-credits scene of the previous film, The Last: Naruto the Movie, which will focus on the next generation of shinobi, in particular Naruto Uzumaki's son, Boruto, and Sasuke Uchiha's daughter, Sarada, both of whom were introduced in the final chapter of the manga.
Boruto: Naruto The Movie premieres on August 7th in Japan.
