Chapter 22 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, titled Jura, delivers intense moments right from the opening. Mitsuki asks Araya to retrieve Ryu's Thorn Soul Bulb while he faces the remaining Claw Grimes. Meanwhile, Jura emerges from within one of these enemies and advances towards the Land of Wind, ignoring the retrieval of his defeated ally's artifact. His priority is locating Boruto.

Matsuri, previously defeated, begins to transform into a Thorn Soul Bulb. At that moment, a Mini Biju Bomb strikes the ground near Boruto and Konohamaru. In a quick reaction, Boruto throws shurikens at the surrounding rock formations and orders Konohamaru to retrieve Matsuri's Bulb, marking a rendezvous point with the Sand shinobi.

Immediately after, Jura advances towards the two. Boruto then grabs Konohamaru and throws him off the battlefield, ensuring his escape. With his ally safe, the protagonist focuses all his attention on the enemy. He initiates the attack with a Rasengan from behind Jura, who counters with his Mini Biju Bomb, revealing the degree of threat he represents.

Boruto defies fate in an unequal battle

As the confrontation intensifies, Kashin Koji and Eida observe and discuss Boruto's chances of surviving. Eida believes that despite his demonstrated resistance, Boruto is at a disadvantage. His teleportation style requires time to locate objects marked with chakra, something impossible given Jura's continuous attacks. According to Koji, the young man is merely trying to buy time for his allies to retreat.

Tension rises when Jura reveals he's there with a clear mission: to kill Boruto. According to the Divine Tree, Boruto knows too much about his plans and needs to be eliminated. In a moment of apparent introspection, Jura asks what love is. For him, this emotion represents a fatal weakness in humans, as it leads them to take risks even with minimal chances of victory.

The dialogue, however, does not interrupt the fight. Jura restarts his attacks with his Wood Release technique. Boruto manages to dodge some offensives, but ends up losing his katana, captured by Jura. Annoyed by the disrespect shown to his master's legacy, Boruto reacts with the Uzuhiko Rasengan, escaping the wooden prison and striking the Divine Tree with the same attack.

Jura neutralizes Uzuhiko's Rasengan and regains control of the fight

The sequence gives the impression that Boruto has managed to overcome his opponent, but the victory is short-lived. Jura reappears and completely nullifies Uzuhiko's Rasengan. According to him, the protagonist's technique shares similar principles with his Mini Biju Bomb, which made its neutralization possible.

The chapter ends with the fight still ongoing, but with a clear advantage for Jura. The tension remains high, leaving Boruto's fate uncertain. The young ninja's prominence, however, reaffirms his central role in the plot, even in the face of increasingly lethal challenges.
