Boruto: Two Blue Vortex reached one of the most thrilling moments of the plot, as Boruto Uzumaki faces Jura in a battle that surprisingly quickly unfolded. First, it's important to remember that Boruto has been called "Boruto Otsutsuki" and no longer Uzumaki . This highlights his transformation, as he now possesses the pure essence of an Otsutsuki, something that makes him similar to Kawaki.
However, the big question is: why does Jura want to capture Naruto?
The origin of Jura and the Shinju clones
The Shinju Clones appeared early in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. They evolved from the Claw Grimes, creations of Code, who used his mark to create humanoid soldiers with Rinnegan abilities. These beings devoured people, transforming them into small divine trees and, later, into Shinju Clones—sentient versions with traces of the absorbed individual's chakra.
However, Jura is an exception: he did not emerge from the absorption of a shinobi, but rather from the remains of the Ten-Tails itself. Thus, he represents the most evolved and dangerous form of all the Shinju Clones, and he also leads them.
Why does Jura want Naruto and Himawari?
Each Clone Shinju pursues targets related to its "model." For example, Hidari seeks Sarada, having absorbed Sasuke. Following this logic, Jura, with the essence of a tailed beast, would naturally be after Naruto, who has possessed the tailed beast's chakra since the Fourth Great War.
However, unexpectedly, Jura realized that Himawari Uzumaki was the current wielder of Kurama. Thus, his immediate focus turned to her. Even though Naruto was sealed by Kawaki, his connection to the Beasts made him a desired target for Jura.
Furthermore, the Shinju Clones are self-aware but do not fully understand their origins. Therefore, they believe that consuming their targets can bring answers.
