The official website for the anime adaptation of Lynn Okamoto 's Brynhildr in the Darkness has released its first promotional video. Animation is provided by ARMS (MAOYU, Queen's Blade).

The anime will premiere in April. Okamoto began publishing the manga in Young Jump in 2011. Shueisha magazine published the manga's sixth compiled book volume on September 19.

The original manga follows Murakami Ryouta, who has been tormented for 10 years by the death of his childhood friend, Kuroneko. Feeling guilty about her death, Ryouta strives to become a NASA researcher, hoping to fulfill a childhood promise he made to her. He works hard toward this goal without ever letting go of self-blame, until one day, a girl who looks strikingly like Kuroneko appears before him.
