Burn the Witch #0.8 – New anime story details revealed

Burn the Witch has announced that it will return with a new anime and will actually serve as a prequel to the first film released a few years ago! Bleach creator Tite Kubo is currently focusing on Bleach itself, with new manga and anime releases. Surprisingly, in 2018, he made a massive return to Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine with a new original project. The author later revealed that this manga was actually set in the broader Bleach universe, but it had more humble beginnings.

So the new Burn the Witch anime project will actually show that beginning with Burn the Witch 0.8. This new project adapts the first Burn the Witch one-shot that Kubo released with Shonen Jump in 2018 . This one-shot introduced fans to Noel and Ninny , two witches who fought dragons, and was so successful that it was later expanded with four more chapters and an anime film bringing it all to life.

What is Burn the Witch #0.8?

The anime will cover the events of Tite Kubo released in 2018. In this one-shot, fans meet Reverse London , a land where magical beings exist, and two witches, Noel Niihashi and Ninny Spangcole, work for an organization called Wing Bind, who fights dragons. Balgo, Noel's friend, gets very close to one of these dragons, thus revealing more of the world that expands in the following chapters.

There is no release information yet, but Burn the Witch 0.8 will feature Tatsuro Kawano returning from the first anime to direct Studio Colorido's new project. The main voice cast also confirmed their return, with Asami Tano playing Ninny Spangcole, Yuina Yamada as Noel Niihashi, Shimba Tsuchiya as Balgo Parks, Hiroaki Hirata playing the Chief, and Rie Hikisaka playing Osushi.
