Burn the Witch has announced that it will return with a new anime and, in fact, it will serve as a prequel to the first film released a few years ago! Bleach creator Tite Kubo is currently focused on Bleach itself, with new manga and anime releases. Surprisingly, in 2018, he made a massive return to Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine with a new original project. Later, the author revealed that this manga was actually set in the wider Bleach universe, but it had a more humble beginning.

Therefore, the new Burn the Witch anime project will actually show this beginning with Burn the Witch 0.8. This new project adapts the first Burn the Witch one-shot that Kubo released with Shonen Jump in 2018. This one-shot introduced fans to Noel and Ninny , two witches who fought dragons, and was so successful that it was later expanded with four more chapters and an anime film bringing it all to life.

What is Burn the Witch #0.8?

The anime will cover the events of Tite Kubo released in 2018. In this one-shot, fans are introduced to Reverse London , a land inhabited by magical beings, where two witches, Noel Niihashi and Ninny Spangcole, work for an organization called Wing Bind, which fights dragons. Balgo, Noel's friend, becomes very close to one of these dragons, thus revealing more of the world that expands in subsequent chapters.

There is still no release information, but Burn the Witch 0.8 will feature Tatsuro Kawano returning from the first anime to direct the new Studio Colorido project. The main voice cast has also confirmed their return, with Asami Tano playing Ninny Spangcole, Yuina Yamada as Noel Niihashi, Shimba Tsuchiya as Balgo Parks, Hiroaki Hirata as the Chief, and Rie Hikisaka playing Osushi.
