By the Grace of the Gods – Season 2 has its premiere date announced

The official website for the anime By the Grace of the Gods (Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko) revealed 12 characters, a new image, and a January 8 premiere date for the second season of the adaptation.

The newly revealed characters include:

  • Makoto Yasumura as Serge
  • Junya Enoki as Dorche
  • Risa Kubota as Carla
  • Sakura Nakamura as Calum
  • Hiro Shimono as Tony
  • Kenichi Suzumura as Pioro
  • Daisuke Hirakawa as Prenance
  • Tetsu Inada as Worgan
  • Nobuyuki Hiyama as Tekun
  • Takuya Eguchi as Fernobelia
  • Akira Ishida as Caulkin
  • Manami Numakura as Robelia

Singer MindaRyn performs the opening theme song “Way to go”, while Azusa Tadokoro performs the opening theme song “Drum-Shiki Tansaki”.

Yuka Yamada (Slow Loop, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Asteroid in Love) is now in charge of writing the anime's scripts, replacing Kazuyuki Fudeyasu.

The new season will premiere in January, and Crunchyroll will stream it as soon as it airs in Japan.

Synopsis

One day, the life of middle-aged businessman Ryoma Takebayashi comes to an unexpected and disappointing end. Ryoma never had a blessed life, but after his death, three great gods seek his cooperation and reincarnate him as a child in another world of swords and magic! Receiving a divine welcome from the gods, Ryoma decides to live leisurely in the forest for a while. However, despite striving hard at hunting and magic, his passion lies in researching domesticated slimes! Thus, training a variety of slimes (some newly discovered), the doors open to this simple life in a fantasy world, celebrating a second life with kind people in another world.

Roy began serializing Kami-tachi Hirowareta Otoko on the Shosetsuka ni Naro ( Let's Become Novelists ) website in 2014, which he previously finished in order to release a new version of the story in 2015; the new version is currently in progress.

Finally, Ranran released a manga Square Enix 's Manga Up! app in November 2017.
