Activision officially announces the name of the highly anticipated new chapter in the popular “Call of Duty” shooter series as “Call of Duty: Ghosts.” The release is scheduled for November 5th in the United States.

This first-person shooter, which puts players right in the middle of the action, will be available on multiple platforms, including next-generation consoles like the PlayStation 4, the new Xbox, and the Wii U, as well as the current PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, along with PC. The title's reveal was accompanied by the release of the game's first trailer.
Activision also confirmed that the game will be unveiled to the public on May 21st during an event that hints at the launch of "Call of Duty: Ghosts" as one of the titles for the new console, which promises to reveal the successor to the Xbox 360. However, it's plausible that the game will also be available for the Wii U and PlayStation 4, although the initial trailer, unfortunately, doesn't show any gameplay footage. Instead, the cinematic is a live-action trailer that plays on the rich cultural diversity of humanity's masks, culminating with the prominent squad of "Ghosts."
This highly anticipated title is in development at Infinity Ward, renowned for its successful "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" trilogy. The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), which will take place from June 11th to 13th in Los Angeles, USA, plans to release new information about the game. However, it's worth noting that there was an early leak of the news about "Call of Duty: Ghosts," with a promotional poster apparently leaked from a GameStop store in the United States, published by the website "IGN" before the official announcement. So far, Activision has not commented on the incident.
Finally, considering that the franchise released its last title at the end of 2012, we can anticipate that Infinity Ward will mark the year 2013 with the long-awaited release of the game.
