The second season of Call of the Night has revealed a new trailer and special visual to mark the start of the highly anticipated Halloween Night arc , which premieres on August 29th with episode 9. Production continues under the LIDENFILMS , while the show remains exclusive to HIDIVE since July.
The trailer features the ending theme song “Nemure” (Sleep) , performed by the group Creepy Nuts , who also appeared in the first season. This choice reinforces the work's connection to the band, since the original title, Yofukashi no Uta , was inspired by one of their songs.
Furthermore, the core team returns: Tomoyuki Itamura directs the adaptation, with Mao Miyoshi and Izumi Takizawa as assistant directors. The screenplay is by Michiko Yokote , character designs are by Haruka Sagawa , and the soundtrack is composed by Yoshiaki Dewa .

Based on the manga by Kotoyama
Kotoyama 's manga , which concluded in January 2024 after 200 chapters . However, the story didn't stop there: the author started a new arc, Call of the Night: Paradise Arc (Yofukashi no Uta – Rakuen-hen) , in July in Weekly Shonen Sunday .
In the story, we follow Yamori , a young man who wanders the streets in search of something beyond the routine. On this journey, he meets the mysterious Nanakusa , who transforms his nights into unique—but also dangerous—experiences, as their encounters become more intense than he could have imagined.
With the Halloween Night Arc , the expectation is for a dark yet vibrant atmosphere, combining romance, mystery, and the nocturnal ambiance that has won over fans worldwide.
