During EVO 2013 , Capcom surprised fans with new features for Street Fighter IV , revealed directly during its panel at the event. After all, when it comes to updates to the franchise, expectations are always high — and this time was no different.
First, the company confirmed that five characters will be appearing in the next update. Rolento, Elena, Hugo, and Poison, already familiar to fans, return with their distinctive styles and unique abilities. However, the most intriguing announcement came with the reveal of a fifth, completely new character who has never appeared in any other game in the series before.
In addition to the fighters, the update will also include six new stages , offering a greater variety of environments for battles. As announced by Capcom, the content will be available for $15 and will be released for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 .
Street Fighter IV update to be revealed at tournament finals
Capcom said it will reveal the official name of this update during the grand final of Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition , scheduled for this Sunday, July 14 , at EVO 2013.
