Captain Earth Anime

The official website for the highly anticipated anime Captain Earth has released another promotional video. The video highlights the anime's story, which begins when second-year high school student Daichi Manatsu suddenly sees a mysterious rainbow floating in the skies over Tanegashima Island on TV during his summer vacation.

Where he says, "I've seen this rainbow before..." The studio BONES, the same studio behind Star Driver, is handling the animation. Takuya Igarashi is supervising the series, with the script by Yoji Enokido; the two previously worked together on Ouran High School Host Club and Sailor Moon Super S.

The anime is scheduled to premiere in April of this year.
