According to the new June issue of Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine, Clamp Cardcaptor Sakura anime project to celebrate the original series' 20th anniversary. Without going into detail, Clamp said more details will be available soon for fans.

Sakura manga series would be released in the July issue of the magazine.

In Brazil, it aired on the Cartoon Network cable channel in 2000, Rede Globo in 2001, and Boomerang in 2010, as well as on Ulbra TV. The manga series was published by JBC in 24 volumes in a half-tankobon format in 2001, making it the first Brazilian manga to be sold at a newsstand, which in turn gave impetus to other manga. For this reason, in 2012, JBC released a special edition with color pages in 12 volumes, just like the Japanese original.
